Soup is generally considered as a health food as it contains good nutrition value. Veg soups are normally vegetables, boiled in water with other ingredients and spices. Fat is added either in form of oil, ghee or butter, which is normally very less in quantity.

Soup preparation can be clear or thick. It is taken as a part of dinner, but thick version of soups fall more towards a snack, as they are rich with carbohydrates. Starch, cereal flour, gram flour and cream is added in a soup preparation to make it thick.

We may use good number of combinations of various ingredients to make a delicious soup. This food dish rarely fails for its taste or presentation.
