Carrot Soup



Carrot soup is a colorful, healthy soup. It is not very rich or spicy. You may increase the quantity of chilies or pepper to make it hot.



Ingredients you will need to make this soup :

Carrot (gajar) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . two or three

Potatoes (aloo) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . two

Onion (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . (medium) - two

Garlic (lasoon) :. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 6 to 8

Red chili powder ( lal mirchi) : . . . . 1 tea spoon

Black pepper powder (kali mirchi) : 1 tea spoon

Cumin seed (jeera) : . . . . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon

Oregano : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1/2 tea spoon

Sugar (shakkar) : . . . . . . . . . . . 1 table spoon

Milk (dudh) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 cup

Butter (makkhan) : . . . . . . . . . . . . 50 grams

Coriander leaves (hara dhania)

Salt (namak) as per your taste

Peal potatoes and boil carrots and potatoes in a pressure cooker for four to five minutes. Add water and blend it in a grinder to make smooth liquid.

Heat butter in a vessel and fry finely chopped onion till it is just transparent. Add finely chopped garlic and cumin seed. Fry for a minute and then add red chili powder, salt and soup. Bring it to boil and then add milk, sugar and black pepper powder. Cook for two to three minutes on slow flame.

Sprinkle oregano and chopped coriander leaves while serving carrot soup.
