Tomato Soup



Tomato soup is a quick recipe of soup preparation. It is a rich and creamy soup, which can be taken before or during the main course.



We will require following ingredients to make this soup :

Tomatoes (tamater) : . . . . . . . . . . 500 grams

Fresh cream (malai) : . . . . . . . . . . . . 1/2 cup

Cornflour (makai ka atta) : . . . . 3 table spoon

Cumin seed (jeera) : . . . . . . . . . 1 table spoon

Garlic paste (adrak) : . . . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon

Red chili powder (lal mirchi) : . . . 1 table spoon

Black pepper powder (kali mirchi) : 1 tea spoon

Butter (makkhan) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . 75 grams

Sugar (shakkar) : . . . . . . . . . . . 1 table spoon

Slice bread : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 to 3 slice

Ghee for frying

Mint leaves (pudina)

Salt (namak) as per your taste

Boil tomatoes and remove skin. Make pulp with a blender.

Mix cornflour in little water.

Heat butter in a vessel and fry cumin seed till it crakles. Add garlic paste and saute for a minute. Add red chili powder, black pepper powder and fry for half a minute. Add tomato pulp and mix it well. Add cornflour, sugar and salt. Mix it well and cook it for five to seven minutes.

Remove edges and cut cubes from bread and fry it till golden brown to make bread croutons.

Garnish tomato soup with mint leaves and add fresh cream and fried bread croutons at the time of serve.
