Sukhi Moong Dal

Very simple to cook, this recipe is full of proteins and fat. This preparation is not spicy but rich in calories. You can increase the quantity of chilies to make it more hot.

Ingredients we will need for this recipe:

Green gram split (hari moond dal) : 200 grams

Spring onions (hari pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . 8 to 9

Garlic (lasoon) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 6 to 7

Turmeric powder (haldi) : . . . . 1/2 tea spoon

Green chilies : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 to 3

Coriander leaves (hara dhania)

Lemon (nimboo)

Pure ghee : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1/4 cup

Salt (namak) as per your taste

Boil green gram split with turmeric powder, finely chopped green chilies, garlic and salt in minimum required water.

Remove excess water from dal (if there is) and make it dry. At the time of serving, put dal in serving plate and sprinkle chopped spring onion and coriander leaves on top of dal. Now heat ghee till smoke and pour it on top of spring onions. Serve moong dal as it is.
