Masala Fried Prawns



Masala fried prawns is a dish with gravy. It is a spicy preparation, balanced in protein and fat. Reduce the quantity of chilies according to your taste.



Ingredients you will require to make this recipe:

Big prawns (jhinga) : . . . . . . 10 to 12

Onion (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . one

Ginger paste (adrak) : . . . . 1 tea spoon

Green chilies (hari mirchi) : . . . . . 2 to 3

Red chili powder (lal mirchi) : 1 tea spoon

Turmeric powder (haldi) : . . 1/2 tea spoon

Coriander powder (dhania) : . . 1 tea spoon

Curry leaves (kadi patta) : . . . . . . 4 to 6

Coconut milk (narial ka dudh) : . . 3/4 cup

Coconut oil (narial ka tel) : . . . . 1/4 cup

Salt (namak) as per your taste

Marinate de-veined prawns with ginger paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt for ten to fifteen minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and fry prawns till done. Remove it from the oil and fry finely chopped onion till it is just transparent. Add curry leaves and chopped green chilies. Fry for a minute and then add coconut milk. Cook it for a minute and then add fried prawns. Cook it for one to two minutes on a slow flame.

Enjoy masala fried prawns with roti or steamed rice.
