Bhuna Gosht





Bhuna gosht is a mutton dish, but you can prepare with beef also.This preparation is very rich and spicy. Ypo can reduce the quantity of chilies and oil as per your taste.

You will need following ingredients to make this dish:

Mutton : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 750 grams

Onion (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 or 3

Ginger paste (adrak) : . . 1 1/2 table spoon

Garlic paste (lasoon) : . . 1 1/2 table spoon

Green chilies (hari mirchi) : . . . . . . 5 to 6

Red chili powder (lal mirchi) : 2 table spoon

Garam masala powder : . . . . . 1 tea spoon

Cumin powder (jeera) : . . . . 1 table spoon

Coriander powder (dhania) : 1 table spoon

Ginger Julienne (adrak) : . . 1 table spoon

Oil (tel) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3/4 cup

Coriander leaves (hara dhania)

Mint leaves (pudina)

Salt (namak) as per your taste

Marinate mutton with ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt for two to three hours. Add water and pressure cook for fifteen to twenty minutes.

Remove it from cooker and cook in a top till water is evaporated.

Now heat oil in a top and fry finely chopped onions till it is just transparent. Add long cut green chilies and fry for a minute. Add mutton and mix it well. Add ginger julienne and saute it for five minutes.

Garnish bhuna gosht with coriander and mint leaves. Serve with paratha, butter nan or steamed rice.

Note : If you are using beef, then marinate it for at least three hours. Pressure cooking time will be about thirty minutes.
