Thai Garlic Prawns





Thai garlic prawns is a dish which can be taken as a starter. This prawns thai recipe is not very spicy or hot. Caramelized sugar adds sweet taste.

Ingredients we will require to make this recipe :

Medium prawns (jhinga) : . . . . . . . 500 grams

We can take either fresh or frozen prawns

Garlic (lasoon) : . . . . . . . . . . . . 4 to 5 cloves

Black pepper powder (kali mirchi) : 1 tea spoon

Brown sugar (shakkar) : . . . . . . . . 2 tea spoon

Fish sauce : . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 1/2 table spoon

Oil (tel) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 to 3 table spoon

Salt (namak) as per your taste

Defrost prawns if you are using frosted one. (put the sealed packet in slightly warm water for about an hour)

De-vein and marinate prawns for twenty to thirty minutes with fish sauce, black pepper powder, crushed garlic and little salt, as fish sauce contains salt.

Add brown sugar to marinated prawns and mix it gently till sugar is dissolved. Now heat oil in a frying pan and transfer marinated prawns and stir fry for two to three minutes. Be sure not to over cook prawns.

Serve thai garlic prawns with sliced tomatoes and cucumber.
