Coffee CakeCoffee cake is a simple cake to make. This cake can be decorated for any special celebration. Coffee as an ingredient, added to this cake makes it slightly bitter in taste. Ingredients you will require to make this cake : All purpose flour or refined flour (maida) : three cups Eggs (ande) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . three Powdered sugar (shakkar) : . . . . . . . . . . two cups Cocoa powder : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . one cup Vegetable oil (tel) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . one cup Coffee powder : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1/2 cup Butter (makkhan) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . one cup Baking Soda : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 1/2 tea spoon Baking Powder : . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 1/2 tea spoon Salt (namak) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1/2 tea spoon Vanilla extract : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon Method of making Coffee Cake Sieve flour, sugar, cocoa powder, coffee powder, baking soda and baking powder and mix it well. Add eggs, oil, butter, vanilla extract and salt. Mix it thoroughly to prepare cake mix. Apply little butter on walls and bottom of the cake baking pan and pour cake mix in it. Pre heat oven to 180 degree C and bake the cake for thirty to forty minutes. (or as per the capacity of your oven). To check weather the cake is ready or not, insert a toothpick or a fork in it. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready. Take it out and when it is cool, decorate coffee cake with icing sugar or garnish with chocolate flakes for the special occasion.
