Chili Chicken





Chili chicken is a hot and spicy dish, which is not very high in calories. Reduce the quantity of chilies to make it less spicy.

Ingredients you will require :

Chicken : (bone less) . . . . . . . . . . 500 grams

Refined flour (maida) : . . . . . . . . 2 table spoon

Red chili powder (lal mirchi) : . . . . 1 tea spoon

Black pepper powder (kali mirch) : 1/2 tea spoon

Garlic paste (lasoon) : . . . . . . . . 1 table spoon

Ginger (adrak) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 inch

Soy sauce : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 table spoon

Vinegar : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 table spoon

Onion (pyaj) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . one or two

Tomato (tamatar) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . one

Red or green capsicum : . . . . . . . .. . . . one

Long light green chilies (hari mirch) : . . . two

Oil (tel) : . . . . . . . . . . . . 3 to 4 table spoon

Salt (namak) to taste

Mix refined flour with red chili powder, black pepper powder, garlic paste, finely cut ginger, soy sauce, vinegar, tomato pulp or puree and salt. Add bone less chicken and let tit marinate for three to four hours.

Cut long slice of capsicum and green chilies. Heat oil and fry finely chopped onion till just brown. Add chilies and fry for a minute and then add marinated chicken. Cook on low flame till chili chicken is done. You can add 1/2 cup of water for cooking.
