Apple Cake





Apple cake is a good treat in a small gathering. You can decorate this cake with cream and icing sugar for special occasion.

Ingredients we will need to make this cake:

Apple (seb) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . four

Refined flour (maida) : . . . . . . . . . 3 cup

Powdered sugar (shakkar) : . . . . . 2 cup

Brown sugar : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3/4 cup

Vegetable oil (tel) : . . . . . . . . . 1 1/2 cup

Butter (makkhan) : . . . . . . . . . . 1/2 cup

Eggs (ande) : . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . four

Baking powder : . . . . . . . . . 1 tea spoon

Cinnamon powder (dalchini) : 1 tea spoon

Lemon juice (nimbu) : 2 to 3 table spoon

Salt (namak) : . . . . . . . . 1/2 tea spoon

Sieve flour in mixing pan and add white sugar powder, brown sugar and melted butter. Mix it thoroughly and then add eggs and oil. Mix it again and add baking powder, cinnamon powder and salt. Mix it well till you get a smooth consistency. You can use a mixture grinder for mixing.

Peel and remove core from apple. Cut it in medium sized pieces and immediately put it in a bowl and pour lemon juice all over it.

Apply butter coating on the wall of baking pan with a brush and pour half of the cake mixture in it. Place apple pieces to form a layer and then cover it with remaining cake mixture.

Pre-heat oven to 150 degree centigrade and bake the cake for thirty to forty five minutes. (or till cake is done, depending on the capacity of your oven) Check it by piercing a knife in the cake. It should come out clean.

Cool apple cake and remove it over a plate.
